Thank you for your interest in the American School of Yaoundé (ASOY)!
In order to apply for your child's admission to ASOY, here are the steps:
A. First, you need to submit:
o An Application for Admission
o A Student Evaluation form completed by your child's current teacher
o Official school records for your child's previous 2 years of school, in English
o Special education testing and/or an Individual Education Plan (IEP), if applicable
o A copy of your child's birth certificate or passport o $500 application fee o Boarding House application, if applicable
B. If your child meets the preliminarily requirements, the ASOY Counselor will arrange for testing in order to make a final decision regarding acceptance and placement.
C. If your child is accepted to ASOY, you will also need to submit the following items as soon as possible after acceptance:
o A medical information form o A copy of your child's immunization records
o An emergency contact form with contact information and a map to your residence o An emergency ID card with photo
o A vehicle pass form
o An acknowledgements form (photo permission, parent handbook, internet)
o Tuition and Fees (must be paid or arranged for BEFORE your child attends
classes.)
